24/7 Online Plan Room
Our widely used Plan Room is one of the largest construction reporting services in New York State. Our members have the ability to review plans and specifications on line dealing with commercial, industrial, institutional, state and federal projects and multiple family residential units in New York and Pennsylvania. Our reporting service handles over 4,000 plans each year. The Online Plan Room allows you to search for bidding opportunities by geography, construction type, CSI code and keywords. It also carries other pertinent bidding information such as bonding requirements, bidder's lists, where to purchase plans and much more. It also allows you to download drawings and specs, print them in house or you can place an online order from the Association which will be mailed or be sent by the overnight carrier of your choice. Association 401(k) Retirement Plan
The ABC in cooperation with the Community Investment Services, Inc. has created a multiple employer 401(k) Retirement Plan that costs the employer only $500.00 per year. The plan has 18 investment choices and offers 1-800 "Tele-Touch" and Internet services which allows your employees to get account balances and make changes in their investments 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Owners and highly compensated may elect to use the plan's "Safe Harbor" option, which allows owners and highly compensated individuals to save up to $17,000 a year without going through typical 401(k) discrimination testing. The employer has the option of whether or not they want to make matching contributions. This plan will help you to establish a valuable benefit to help you retain employees. This is a great benefit to our members and we urge you to look into it, whether or not you currently have a retirement plan in place.

Buyers Guide & Membership Directory
The ABC Buyer's Guide is disseminated to Members, private & public construction users and other construction trade associations. The Guide serves as a Membership directory and has a classified section so buyers can easily procure responsible contractors, high quality materials, equipment and services. It also lists a substantial number of design professionals and government agencies involved in the construction industry. This is an excellent marketing source for your company and will help all of us to know our members.

Labor Relations
The Southern Tier Association of Construction Contractors (STACC) provides a full range of labor relation services to union member firms. Companies that wish to learn the latest information in collective bargaining trends, apprenticeships, labor laws, federal and state prevailing wages, open shop developments and National Labor Relations Board activities will be provided with up-to-date reference materials from STACC.
Digital Archiving/Scanning
We can now scan operations and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, warranty information and Plan & Specs for your clients. It's fast, inexpensive and widely accepted. Cornell University, OGS and many other public owners are now accepting operations & maintenance manuals, as-built drawings and warranty information on CD. It's a great way to service your clients. Digitally formatting information offers infallible durability, alleviates portability issues, saves space, saves money and enhances communications. Plans and Specification Copies
The Association has an engineering copier for our member's convenience and savings. Plans up to three feet wide can be copied and members are billed for their convenience.

Access to the ABC' Workers Compensation Group
Members are able to utilize our own safety group. The group is for worker's compensation insurance. Managed by Warwick Resource Group, LLC, the ABC's Safety Group was formed for members of the ABC of the Triple Cities to provide a quality insurance alternative to contractor, subcontractor and supplier members. Our goal is to provide exceptional loss control, safety training, claims handling and audit services to our members. We have teamed with Reller Risk Management to provide the management of safety, claims and audit procedures in conjunction with the New York State Insurance Fund, The most stable fund in the state! R.S. Means Publications Discounted for Members
The Association serves as an authorized dealer for R.S. Means cost data and estimating publications. We encourage you to place your order for one or more R.S. Means annual cost data publications, reference books, or estimating and management books at a discount of 25% off the R.S. Means retail unit price. Legal Advertisements
Cooperative Legal Advertisements are available to any member firms that need assistance in finding qualified MBE/WBE subcontractors and suppliers. These legal advertisements will be published in the Binghamton "Press & Sun Bulletin" legal section and will run for five consecutive days and will include a weekend. The cost of the legal advertisement is the cost of the ad divided by the number of members that participate plus 20% administrative fee. You will save at least 30% and it could be much greater. A minimum of two members must participate in order for the ad to be run.

Seminars
The Associated Building Contractors sponsors numerous seminars throughout the year. Topics of the seminars are determined by member interest. Subjects range from better communication skills to defending your company against an OSHA fine. Seminars can also be arranged upon request.

Publications/Newsletters
Through an extensive array of printed materials we keep our Members informed of advances in the construction industry and related fields. Every week a plans-on-file bulletin is sent to all members. The bulletin includes information about the plans on file, bidders and bid results. Our newsletters to keep you informed of what we are doing. It includes scheduled events, reports on events that have passed member benefit updates and pertinent information on events affecting our industry.

Group Health Insurance
The Association in conjunction with Support Services Alliance, Inc. offers a group health insurance plan available to all members who employ under fifty people. The plan has several options and its pricing is very competitive. For more information contact our office.

Authorized GTCO/CalComp Dealer
The Association is an authorized dealer of GTCO/CalComp estimating products. Members are afforded a generous discount on all GTCO/Calcomp products. A demo digitizer is also available in the plans room for member use.

BIE of NYS Affiliation
The Association's affiliation with the statewide Building Industry Employers of New York State (BIE) brings diverse elements of the Construction Industry throughout New York State together to promote a unified statewide voice regarding issues of common concern. The BIE has eleven affiliated associations from Albany to Jamestown. It's a great source of information for Contractors and Sub-Contractors who travel outside the ABC's immediate service area and most benefits are reciprocated from Association to Association. All members and families are eligible to attend the two annual meetings held at well-known resort facilities. The BIE Summer meeting is normally held in New York State and the Winter Meetings are held in the warmer climates of the Caribbean and surrounding areas. New York State Mandatory Disability Insurance
Through the Association's affiliation with the BIE of NYS, the ABC offers sponsors a NYS Mandatory Disability Insurance which could save you as much as 90% over other plans. The plan is managed by Rose and Kiernan, a professional risk management and surety broker, with headquarters in Albany and branch offices in Rochester, Watertown and Buffalo. All members who annually average 60 employees per month or less are eligible to participate. All billings are made quarterly in arrears.

Safety Video Lending Library
In an effort to help all our members comply with OSHA standards and maintain safe working environments, the Association has established an up-to-date safety video lending library. The safety videos may be borrowed by member firms for up to a week and can be used in your offices or at your job sites. The safety videos can be used for your company's weekly or monthly Tool Box talks. A complete list of the safety videos is available by contacting the Association office.

Social Programs & Quarterly Dinner Meetings
The Association holds an Annual Membership Dinner meeting every January and Quarterly Membership Dinner Meetings in May and October. The meetings are designed to be both informative and enjoyable. Members have an opportunity to meet other members of the Association and become more familiar with the Association activities through reports that are presented by the President and the Executive Director. Member firms are encouraged and invited to purchase display table space to display their products for a very small fee. Guest speakers are invited to speak on timely topics of importance to your business and your employees.

Advertising Opportunities
All members are given the opportunity to advertise in the Association's Plans-on-File, buyers guide and mailers. A six (3) month advertising subscriptions in the weekly Plans-on-File is only $90.00. Each advertisement is 2" x 2" in size and appears each week in the bulletin. Additionally, mailing inserts are available. The inserts can be 8 ½ by 11, the cost is $65.00 per mailing. Mailers are sent to all members weekly. Copy must be received in the office by Wednesday at noon. This service is only available to members of the Associated Building Contractors of the Triple Cities, Inc. The Association reserves the right to refuse any advertisement deemed not to be appropriate

Employee Assistance Program
Your membership in the Association provides you with the advantage of obtaining an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at a discounted rate. Employee Network, Inc. (ENI) provides EAP services. ENI is a locally owned and operated national provider of Behavioral Health Services, specializing in EAP services for over a decade. An EAP is a means to provide confidential professional assistance to employees and their eligible dependents. The EAP helps resolve personal situations and concerns that may effect the employee's well being and/or job performance, including: marital, alcohol and substances abuse, stress, emotional, financial and legal problems. The EAP assists employees in evaluating their situation and then works with them to find potential solutions. The Association realizes that personal concerns can undermine the job performance and overall effectiveness of employees. Many employee personal concerns are responsible for Workers' Compensation claims, on-the-job accidents, lost productivity, turnover and absenteeism. The Association offers you the discounted services of an EAP because we are committed to the success and well-being of our membership and their employees. The Associated Building Contractors strongly believes in the preventative, cost savings, abilities of any employee assistance program. Your use of the EAP will establish a proven effective program to ensure the quality, safety and effectiveness of your work environment. Member Profiles
Very often we are asked questions about member firms; who they are, what they do, how long have they been in business? Our knowledge of your business is limited, so we offer this service so you can tell your story. Member Profiles will be published in the Plans-On-File Bulletin. The service is free and profiles are published on a first come basis. We hope that the service will give you an opportunity to tell about your company background, services & products offered, projects completed or upcoming, expansion plans, etc. This is an excellent marketing source for your company and will help all of us to know our members. To take advantage of this service, please provide us with the text of your profile. We will print it in the first available Plans-On-File Bulletin. You will be limited to an 8-1/2" x 7" area so please be concise.
